How to reset a mySQL password? Imprimer

If you have lost your root user password for MySQL, you can reset it with the following procedure:

1. Login to cPanel >> MySQL Databases
2. Delete the Current User with the lost password after writing that username down.
3. Add New User, using the original username, and a new password.
4. Lastly make sure to add the user back to the database it belongs to with appropriate permissions.
